An endless composition made of 4 unique tiles. Each one based on a place that has shaped my identity, from the California coast to the American mountain west. Digital heightmap data is transformed into tiles and press-moulded by hand into sculptural wall tiles. The work straddles worlds. Digital and physical. Past and present. The memories and feelings of a place and time made permanent in clay. Moments of a nostalgic past are projected onto the path offering viewers a window into my upbringing while prompting them to reflect on the memories, places, and experiences that have shaped their own identity.
